Community Cycling Club of Portland (CCCP) and Back Bay Bicycle organize 3 weekly group rides for different riding styles and levels and which run from March through the end of October. These range from beginner, instructional rides  to experienced, fast club rides. Riding with a group is a  great way to improve your riding skills and fitness level.

  • All rides leave from the shop at 333 Forest Ave, Portland.

  • Helmets required. Lights, especially rear, highly recommended.

  • Riders under 18 require waiver signed by parent.

  • Road bikes, rather than hybrid, strongly recommended for all these rides.

MONDAYS - 6:00 pm (5pm early spring and late fall, 5:30pm late spring & early fall)

  • ROAD, 20-28miles, medium (16 -20mph), A and B groups for different levels, Middle Rd to Yarmouth, Comberland then back.  3 regrouping stops. Opposite direction on alternate weeks.

WEDNESDAYS- WOMEN'S RIDE 6:00PM  (5:30 early spring and early fall)

        ROAD, 20 - 30 miles, easy to moderate, no drop, (14-17mph) A and B groups

THURSDAYS - 6:00pm (5pm early spring and late fall,  5:30pm late spring & early fall)

  • ROAD,  30-40 miles, fast and hilly, 18-22mph,, Falmouth, Cumberland, Gray & back.  2 regrouping stops. A group (20-22mph) B-group,(17-19 mph)  Six 1-mile plus hills.

SATURDAYS - 8am

  • ROAD, 15-25 miles, easy to moderate, A and B groups. No drop. Recommended for riders new to group rides.(14-17mph)
